Stabilization of the Toudja desalination plant

The decision to build the Toudja desalination plant was made in an area with significant slope stability issues, raising major concerns regarding the safety of this critical facility. To address these challenges, our firm undertook a series of actions:

  • Conducted in-depth geotechnical investigations to assess ground conditions and risks related to slope stability.
  • Performed specialized assessments of potential landslides within the plant’s location area.
  • Implemented topometric and inclinometric monitoring systems to detect any ground or structural movement and deformation.
  • Proposed appropriate stabilization solutions to reinforce slope stability and reduce landslide risks.
  • Provided technical assistance throughout the project execution phase to ensure proper implementation of the proposed measures.
